Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Patch of heathland. Most of Brownsea Island is covered in woodland or short turf but this patch is heathland. The bright green bush is a rhododendron - a real problem on the island as it stops regrowth of saplings, and kills off any other understory plants. It is being gradually removed though by the National Trust and Dorset Wildlife Trust. |
