Description
Français : L'impressionnant site des Rouleaux, à Mazières/St Marc (79).

Après 90 ans d'activité la carrière est toujours en développement, tant dans son extension spatiale que la profondeur de fosse ainsi générée, devant à terme dépasser 130 m. Les gradins de fronts de taille, en France, ont en effet une hauteur tournant autour de 10-15 m.

A cette distance les tombereaux, ces gigantesques camions miniers, apparaissent minuscules tels des jouets... mais bruit et poussière de granulats, omniprésents, confèrent une atmosphère surréaliste.
