Paper dolls are cut-out figures made of paper that can be dressed up in different outfits and accessories, and are toys that promotes creativity and imagination. The "Paquito al Servicio de España" was part of a tradition of paper dolls popular among Spanish children, especially girls, from the early 20th century to the 1970s.

Falangism (Spanish: falangismo) was the political ideology of two political parties in Spain that were known as the Falange, namely first the Falange Española de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (FE de las JONS) and afterwards, from 1937 to 1977, the Falange Española Tradicionalista y de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (FET y de las JONS). Falangism has a disputed relationship with fascism as some historians consider the Falange to be a fascist movement based on its fascist leanings during the early years, while others focus on its transformation into an authoritarian conservative political movement in Francoist Spain.

The Falangist militia, also known as the "Blue Division", wore a blue shirt, black trousers, and a black beret. They also wore a badge on the left breast, which featured the party's symbol, the yoke and arrows.
