Herkomst: schoenenwinkel Corbeau, West-Kruiskade 2, Rotterdam Trefwoorden: hoed, hoofddeksel, kledingaccessoire, kostuum, halffabrikaat Opschrift / merk: Etiket: "Original Panama / 100% Toquilla Straw / Handmade in Ecuador". Kaart: "Panama / The Legend hat / (originally made in Ecuador) / Since 1630 Ecudorian hats have covered many famous / heads including Napoleon, Winston Churchll, Nikita Krustchev, / Harry Truman, Paul Newman Anthony Hopkins and others.. / In 1906 Theodore Roosevelt wore one of our hats while visiting / the construction on the Panama canal. His picture traveled / around the world and thuis masterpiece became known as / "the Panama hat". / Our craftsmen cooperative societies take between on week and / 6 months to manufacture one hat depending on the thickness / using only the tinest selected natural "toquilla" straw fibers. / To restore to its original shape it can be ironed with a cloth / between steam-iron and hat.
