Description Original caption: "Statue of Gen. Sherman - This equestrian statue is a splendid piece of sculpture, and is by Augustus St. Gaudens. It stands in front of the Fine Arts Gallery. It was exhibited at the Paris Exposition of 1900, winning a grand prix for the sculptor, who was also made an officer of the Legion of Honor."
