Description
Français : Palais du Louvre - Appartements d'été de la reine Anne d'Autriche - Salle 26 - La salle actuelle a été obtenue en regroupant en 1800 la chambre de parade et le petit cabinet de la Reine - L'architecte a reporté à l'extrémité sud de la nouvelle salle le décor du mur sud de la chambre de la reine. Le décor a été réalisé en 1658 par le peintre Giovanni Francesco Romanelli et le sculpteur Michel Angier. Il évoque les vertus de la reine en reprenant des scènes bibliques : Judith et Holopherne et Ester et Assuérus. Sur la voûte, Romanelli a peint La Religion et les vertus théologales. En 1800, le peintre Pierre Peyron peint les lunettes et médaillons d'allégories relatives aux arts. Pour assurer la continuité du décor de la voûte, le peintre Philippe-Auguste Hennequin réalise l' Hercule français. Claude Dejoux réalise les stucs qui faire les raccords nécessaires.
