Description
English: Coat of Arms of Byzantine Empire according to Greek books about history & Jean RANELE, Bergshammarvappenboken (Armorial Bergshammar, 1435), in: Mideltidsheraldisk studie, Lund, Sweden, 1975. This is the imperial flag (the Byzantine double-headed gold eagle on red background) with the sympilema (the family cypher) of the Palaiologos dynasty.
Français : Armoiries de l'Empire byzantin d'après les livres grecs d'histoire et d'après Jean RANELE, Bergshammarvappenboken (Armorial Bergshammar, 1435), in: Mideltidsheraldisk studie, Lund, Sweden, 1975. C'est le drapeau impérial (aigle bicéphale d'or sur gueules) auquel on a ajouté le sympilème (monogramme) de la dynastie des Paléologues.
