Várias homenagens foram prestadas ao Dr. Pedro Ernesto, interventor no Distrito Federal, no dia 25 de setembro de 1933, data de seu aniversário natalício, destacando-se a missa solene na Catedral, o banquete de 700 talheres no Automóvel Clube e a inauguração de um busto em bronze, no edifício da Prefeitura, homenagem do funcionalismo municipal como agradecimento pelas leis assinadas em seu benefício.
