Description
English: Advice against padlocks on Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), Florence, Italy. Closing a padlock and trowing the key into the river was a popular tradition followed in several towns by militarymen who had completed their compulsory service term.
Italiano: Proibizione di mettere lucchetti sulle ringhiere del Ponte Vecchio a Firenze. Chiudere un lucchetto e gettarne la chiave nel fiume era una tradizione simbolica, popolare in molte città italiane fra i militari di leva al termine del loro servizio.
