The waters from Pacific Service Magazine 205 Blue Lakes pour into the Mokelumne byway of Blue Creek, Deer Valley and thecreek of the same name. It is all, as I have said, wild sceneryand picturesque to a degree. There is ex-cellent fishing in the lakes and there isgood mountain hiking. Round Top Moun-tain, Nigger Head Peak and the Nippleare all eminences upwards of 9000 feetabove sea level. It seems appropriate here to give a de-scription of the Blue Lakes region from shall take the place of oil that is badlyneeded for other purposes. The Blue Lakes are a picturesquecluster of storage reservoirs situated inAlpine County near the summit of theSierra Nevada. They, with Bear RiverReservoir in Amador County, are the chiefsources of water supply for our com-panys Electra power district. The BlueLakes group embraces Upper or WestBlue Lake, Lower Blue Lake, Twin Lakesand Meadow Lake.
