He was one of theold employees of the Company and wastransferred from the San Francisco officein September, 1909, to assume the dutiesof foreman at Sutter Creek, in ElectraDistrict. He was a very popular manand his work was thoroughly dependableand of the highest grade. His absenceis greatly regretted in the Electra Districtas, indeed, by all employees who knewhim.
