anager of the Com-mercial Department of the San FranciscoDistrict, severed his connection with Pa-cific Service on July 31st to accept aposition in the Purchasing Department ofthe Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation. On the eve of his departure the em-ployees of Mr. Pitts office assembled inRoom 503, and Mr. Bostwick, the districtmanager, made a short speech, expressingregret that Mr. Pitts was leaving us, butassuring him that the good-will and goodwishes of all for his success would gowith him. Mr. Bostwick then presentedMr. Pitts with a gold watch tendered as afarewell token by the employees of theCommercial Department. The District Commercial Departmenthas since been reorganized and now bearsthe name of the New Business Depart-ment, San Francisco District, Mr. F. S.Gray being appointed superintendent ofthe Electric Sales Bureau, Mr. Frank Tal-cott superintendent of the Gas Sales Bu-reau, and Mr. H. M. Crawford engineerIndustrial Gas and House Heating Bureau.
