English: It was a courtesy visit of Former Japan Prime Minister Yukio HATOYAMA and Japan Parliamentary Delegation, taking place in the margins of the 33rd EU-Japan Interparliamentary Meeting (Brussels, 30 - 31 May 2012).
The main objective of the meeting between Commissioner Georgieva, the Former Japan Prime Minister Yukio HATOYAMA and seven Japanese Parliamentarians - mainly from the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) - was to underline the importance and global significance of further developing EU Japan cooperation in the field of disaster management. |
