Deutsch: Auf Metaphasechromosomen aus einem menschlichen weiblichen Lymphocyten wurden durch Fluoreszenz in situ Hybridisierung die Alu-Sequenzen markiert (grün). Diese Sequenzen sind besonders in genreichen Chromosomenabschnitten häufig. DNA ist rot eingefärbt.
English: Human metaphase chromosomes were subjected to fluorescence in situ hybridization with a probe to the Alu Sequence (green signals)and counterstained for DNA (red).
Original figure legend: Karyotype from a female human lymphocyte (46, XX). Chromosomes were hybridized with a probe for Alu sequences (green) and counterstained with TOPRO-3 (red). Alu sequences were used as a marker for chromosomes and chromosome bands rich in genes. |
