PIDS screen at Huntington station, indicating that a Blue Line train to Rosslyn is on the platform. From 1999 to 2008, Metro ran a special service pattern on July 4. In this special service pattern, the terminals of the Blue and Yellow Lines were switched, sending Blue Line trains to Huntington and Yellow Line trains to Franconia-Springfield. Blue Line trains terminated at Rosslyn, requiring that passengers transfer to Orange Line trains to continue towards downtown Washington DC.Ben Schumin is a professional photographer who captures the intricacies of daily life.
