Summary[edit]

Description

Courtesy of a photo taken by our next-door-but-one neighbours who bought the bungalow to the left of the shot from new and still live there. Ours is the one at the back with no roof tiles yet; also the garage hasn't been built. This is 1978, so in the middle of my time at uni, just 12 miles away although I had no idea at the time that we'd be living here one day. Sorry the quality isn't great - it's scanned from an old print.

Coincidentally the car in the foreground (a mk IV Ford Cortina) is pretty much identical to the one my father had at the time... certainly the same type and colour.
