English: Oulton Park - marshalling the starting grid 1957 By the look of those oak trees it was springtime - - my guess, Easter Monday, 22 April, 1957.
The photographer was crossing the track by way of a footbridge, which is missing from today's aerial maps. If I remember correctly the owner/driver of the Mercedes ( 66 ) was Brian Naylor of Stockport. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Naylor |
