Description
Deutsch: Otto Barnewald (* 10. Januar 1896 in Leipzig; † 14. März 1973 in Rheinhausen) war SS-Sturmbannführer und von 1942-1945 Verwaltungsführer im Konzentrationslager Buchenwald. Er wurde im Dachauer Buchenwald-Prozess zum Tode verurteilt (später in lebenslange Haft umgewandelt).
English: Otto Barnewald, SS-Sturmbannführer. From 1942 to 1945 he was leader of the administration in the concentration camp of Buchenwald. In the Buchenwald Camp Trial (part of the Dachau Trials) he was sentenced to death by hanging (later modified to life imprisonment)
