Description	English: Oroville Dam California, USA February 14, 2017 After several years of drought, heavy winter rains filled reservoirs throughout California. At the Oroville Dam (the tallest in the United States), water cascaded over the emergency spillway, eroding the surrounding hillside and threatening the town of Oroville and other communities along the Feather River. This satellite imagery sequence shows the dam in drought conditions (September 4, 2016); captures water flowing over the damaged spillway during the crisis (February 14, 2017); and details a the start of the repair process after water levels lowered.
