Duiker paste in deze Openluchtschool een betonskelet en grote strokenramen toe, die kunnen worden geopend om zoveel mogelijk onderwijs in de buitenlucht te genieten. Hoewel inmiddels wetenschappelijk is bewezen dat buitenlucht de weerstand tegen ziektes verhoogt, is de Openluchtschool vandaag de dag geen gangbare typologie.

For this open-air school Duiker employed a concrete skeleton and large ribbon windows, which can be opened so that the pupils can enjoy as much education as possible in the open air. Even though scientific research has now proven that fresh air increases resistance to diseases, the open-air school has not become a common typology.
