Description

Approaching the lighthouse from the path.

This light is in Tommy Thompson Park, named for a former Toronto Metro Parks Commissioner. The peninsula was started as landfill in the 1950s. This light is maintained by the Canadian Coast Guard as an active aid to navigation.

In 1974, the light was built at the outer end of the headland. Also known as Toronto Harbour Aquatic Park Light.

Tower Height: 12 meters (40ft) Focal Plane: 22.5 meters (74ft) above water level
