English: Old railway station, Ardglass. The nine-mile branch from Downpatrick to Ardglass opened in 1892 and closed in 1950 a very short existence. The photo shows Ardglass station 56 years after closure passenger station on the left, goods shed on the right. The line continued (behind the photographer) to the harbour. That section closed some time in the 1920s. |
