| Description |
English: Old Turnover Bridge This bridge was built to swap the towing path from the one side of the canal to the other. The ramps both face the same way so that towing horses could cross without being unhitched. When the railway was built in the 1840's, a section of the towing path on the left was removed and a replacement section was cut on the right, making this bridge redundant. A new turnover bridge was built at the new location, further down the canal. |
