Summary[edit]

Description
English: John McCracken was an architect mason in Dumfries. He designed St Andrew's Catholic Church (later to become the pro-cathedral of Galloway Diocese) and other churches in various parts of Dumfriesshire and in Galloway. He also designed bridges such as this one. He was active in the period 1798 to 1815. Now disused and replaced with new bridge in 1972 which carries the A75 over the River Urr.
