This is a summer house in the garden of the now demolished Shearwater Ward of the former Old Manor Hospital in Salisbury, UK. It was probably built in early Victorian times and its purpose was to provide protection from the weather for patients who were using the gardens (or airing courts). Why such an ornate structure has never been explained.
