| Description |
English: The picture depicts the old fresco of the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. The fresco used to decorate the one-third of the church's nave's ceiling. It was situated above the place that was in front of the iconostasis including the episcopal throne and the pulpit.
The fresco was painted in 1938 in Roman Catholic style with glue-technique. In the focus of the fresco stands Virgin Mary with the usual representation of the Immaculate Conception standing on a globe and halo of stars around her head. She stands between the two archangels: Michael and Gabriel. The images of the four Evangelists can be seen in the four corners of the main fresco. Magyar: A kép a Hajdúdorogi görög katolikus székesegyház egykori freskójának részletét mutatja. A freskó valamikor a székesegyház főhajójának mennyezetének egy harmadát díszítette. A kép az ikonosztáz előtti tér fölött helyezkedett el, amely magába foglalja a püspöki trónust és a szószéket is. A freskót 1938-ban készítették el római katolikus stílusban, enyves festéssel. A freskó középpontjában Szűz Mária állt, akit a Szeplőtelen Fogantatás ábrázolásmódjával jelenítettek meg: a glóbuszon állva, feje körül csillagokkal kirakott glóriával. A szűz a két arkangyal, Mihály és Gábriel között áll. A fő freskó négy szélén a négy evangélista képe látható. |
