Summary[edit]
DescriptionOld Course Hotel and the 17th - geograph.org.uk - 1447467.jpg |
English: Old Course Hotel and the 17th The low building to the right of the hotel, somewhat intruding on the links are replicas of net drying sheds. They are rather famous, as this is the 17th hole of the Old Course, The Road Hole, and the tee is behind them. The tee shot is blind, aiming over these buildings with the hope of hitting the rather narrow fairway on the right of the picture.
The Road Hole is often quoted as the most difficult par 4 hole in the world and has seen the end of some famous championship challenges over the years. |
