Description
English: Unidentified standing bearded male figure wearing a rolled-up head cap (typical of Ur III and Old-Babylonian periods) and a robe-like draped garment. The right hand is raised, in a prayer gesture before a diety (not shown). He is probably a warrior or ruler/king. Old-Babylonian period, 2003-1595 BCE. Fired clay plaque from Southern Mesopotamia, Iraq. The Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraqi Kurdistan.
