| Description |
In addition to being an Atlanta-based Delta mechanic and welder, Lainhart is an active duty officer and operator of Georgia's only search and rescue boat. He received a call from FEMA to assist in search and rescue efforts shortly after Harvey hit Houston. "I’ve worked almost every major flood in America since Katrina. Most of the rescues I do are what they call, ‘technical rescues,’ which are usually in areas too dangerous for normal boats, like swift-moving water and in darkness.” |
