| Description | Victorianische Architektur in der Straße Observatory Gardens, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London. Die Wohnhäuser in dieser Straße wurden 1870 - 1883 von dem Bauunternehmer Thomas Cawley und Subunternehmern erstellt. Die Häuser wurden aus rotem Backstein und weiß bemalten Steinen mit zusätzlichen Ornamenten aus Zement erbaut. Straße und Gebäude wurden auf einem Teil des ehemaligen Phillimore Estate angelegt und erbaut. Namensgeber für die Straße war das von dem Astronomen Sir James South erbaute Observatorium auf dem Phillimore Estate. |
