Description
Deutsch: Ursprünglich nationalsozialistisches Reichsarbeitsdienstlager (RAD Lager 4/224) in Obermillstatt. Die Anlage wurde um 1940 erbaut und diente als Quartier für junge, zum Arbeitsdienst eingezogener Frauen, auch Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), die bei den Obermillstätter Bauern eingesetzt waren. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg waren kurz britische Besatzungstruppen einquariert. In weiterer Folge diente die Anlage als Sommerlager für Kinder aus bombardierten Städten. Heute steht an dieser Stelle die neue Volksschule die im November 1977 eingeweiht wurde. Obermillstatt liegt in der Gemeinde Millstatt am Millstätter Berg (Hochplateau) über dem Millstätter See in Kärnten / Österreich / Europäische Union. Im Hintergrund der Millstätter See-Rücken.
English: Originally Nazi Reich Labor Service camp (RAD camp 4 / 224) in Obermillstatt. The plant was built in 1940 and served as quarters for young women to the labor service confiscated, also League of German Girls (BDM) who had to work at the Obermillstätter farmers. After the Second World War the short British occupation troops were stationed. Subsequently, the building served as a summer camp for children from bombed cities. Today, at this point the new elementary school which was inaugurated in November 1977. Obermillstatt near Lake Millstatt (Millstätter See), district Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia / Austria / Middle Europe / European Union.
