  • Die Darstellungskarte zeigt das historische oberdeutsche Sprachgebiet mit den Staatsgrenzen vom 31. Dezember 1937. Nach dem Ende des zweiten Weltkrieges (1945) wurde das oberdeutsche Sprachgebiet infolge von Flucht und Vertreibung der deutschsprachigen Bevölkerung (Teile von ihnen siedelten seit rund 700 Jahren in diesen Gebieten) geschmälert.

  • The representation map shows the historical upper-German language area with the state borders from 31 December 1937. After the end of the Second World War (1945) the upper-German language area was diminished due to escape and driving of the German-speaking population out (parts of them settled for approximately 700 years in these areas).
