| Description | New brushes at the switch from track 1 to track 11 at the entrance to the station Oberalppass. Track 11 is the siding. A protection against snow in the area of the switch blades. In the background the buried avalanche gallery along the lake. The station is at an altitude of 2033 m ü.M./6670 ft ASL. In this area, the railway infrastructure was damaged by an avalanche on January 22, 2018 as far as the station area. If the avalanche danger is too big, the route is temporarily closed. In summer everything will be green again. Switzerland, April 25, 2018. |
