Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Oak before ash "Oak before ash, will just be a splash.

Ash before oak, we're in for a soak."

The old rhyme predicts a dry summer because the oak tree is in bloom well before the ash tree. When the picture was taken in early May this seemed appropriate but the heavens opened two days later and the rain has hardly stopped throughout May and June.
