Description

PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

Puddle bridge is the railway bridge crossing the puddle which runs into St. Margaret’s Bay by the beach. The railway tracks are gone and the old St. Margaret’s Bay railway bed is now part of the "Rails to Trails" system which is perfect for hiking and biking.

Black Point is the closest community in the 10 Beaches area to Metropolitan Halifax, just 30 minutes away from the city, on Highway 3.

Black Point’s original land grants were given in 1786, but it was not until the 19th century that the community began to take shape.

Today, the fire station and community hall are focal points of the community, where community suppers and social events are held. The village has two sand beaches, the Black Point Beach and Puddle Beach.
