t lo bulletin politique. Marca (Pierre pe), prélat français, né à Pau en 1595.mort à Paris en 1662. Après avoir été président du conseilde Pau et après la mort de sa femme, il entra dans lesordres, devint conseiller dEtat (1639), évêque de Couse-rans (1647), archevêque de Toulouse (1652). Quatre ansaprès, il fut chargé, conjointement avec lévêouo dOrange,Hyacinthe Serroni, de fixer la démarcation des frontièresdo Franco et dEspagne. Nommé archevêque do Paris(1662), il mourut le jour où il reçut ses bulles. Il a écrit,en latin, un traité: De la. concorde du sacerdoce et deV létat (1641), composé par ordre de Richelieu; en français,une Histoire de Béarn (1640); etc. Marcabrun, poète gascon de la fin du xii* siècle, Iuddes plus anciens troubadoure connus. Daprès son anciennebiographie, cétait un enfant trouvé, déposé à la porte dunhomme riche nommé Audric del Vilar; il fut élevé par luiot apprit lart de trouver sous la direction de Cercamou. MARBRE
