Summary[edit]

Description
English: A macro image of the few remaining leaves left clinging to one of several Nothofagus gunnii trees seen next to the walking track through the Ballroom Forest, while completing part of the Dove Lake Circuit in the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. This photo was taken in the last week of May, at the end of the Southern Hemisphere autumn, and so very few leaves remained on the branches of these deciduous trees, following several days of thunderstorms and heavy rain.
