English: German police in German occupied Norway during World War II 1940 – 1945: Uniforms of the SS-Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and the Ordnungspolizei. The Ordnungspolizei was the nationalized order police, also called ORPO or grüne Polizei (green police), a military police organized under the Chief of Police and SS, Heinrich Himmler. Luger/Mauser pistols with holster, recovered wall sign for Reichskommissar für die besetzten norwegischen Gebiete Dienststelle Trondheim ("Reich Commissariat for the Occupied Norwegian Territories", regional headquarters at the Misjonshuset in Trondheim). Also photo of SS-Obersturmbannführer Gerhard Flesch, leader of the regional Sicherheitspolizei und SD in Trondheim from 1942.
