Description
English: Nortonthorpe Mills, Scissett. Originally owned by G H Norton, woollen manufacturers but now in multiple occupancy. The central building is an engine house containing a Pollit and Wigzell horizontal tandem compound steam engine from 1886. This is one of the very few in situ mill engines in Yorkshire.
