Photograph of the north side of the church at Mission Carmel(San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo) in Carmel, ca.1905. Six buttresses support the tall wall. A bell tower sits on the corner. A cross can be seen at the apex of the roof. Scrub brush completely covers the ground in the foreground. Vegetation can also be seen growing on one of the buttresses at right.
