This file is in the public domain because it is a traffic control device prescribed by the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and posted by the North Dakota Department of Transportation. The North Dakota Traffic Operations Manual states that "NDDOT has adopted the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.". The federal MUTCD states specifically on its page I-1 that:
