| Description |
English: Norfolk Green bus 618 (reg. MX54 WMJ), a 2005 Optare Solo M920 midibus, pictured outside Sheringham station on the heritage North Norfolk Railway. It's wearing a commemorative livery applied in 2009 to mark the 50th anniversary of the closure of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway. Normally allocated to routes X6/X8, on this day it was taking part in the NNR's celebrations of the anniversary (held over the weekends of 28 February and 7 March).
Two Norfolk Green buses received this scheme, 617 & 618, with different messages on their rear. 617 carried the message "That's (not quite) Yer Lot" (a reference to the message chalked on the front of the MGN locomotives on its final day) along with details of some of Norfolk Green's bus routes that travel along the the former MGN lines. 618 carried the message "no more 'Muddle & Get Nowhere'" (a reference to the MGN's nickname) along with congratulations to the NNR on regaining a connection to the national network (at Sheringham). |
