Wolseley brand portable sheep shearing plant
Description
Two-stand portable shearing plant powered by a 32-volt, three horsepower single-cylinder petrol engine and mounted on a wooden trolley base with metal axles bearing four cast iron wheels. The plant has cast iron drive wheels to left and right, and an exhaust pipe at the top, rear. It connects to a cylindrical metal drum at the front, and to a supporting cast iron unit with drive wheel to the side. The engine is painted green, and is decorated with painted text 'WOLSELEY'. In the National Historical Collection of the National Museum of Australia.
