Description
Tuberculin syringe used in trials of myxomatosis, a virus disease of rabbits, at Lake Urana, New South Wales in 1954. The myxoma virus was released in an effort to control the plague numbers of rabbits in Australia. In 1950, the initial release of the myxoma virus led to a dramatic reduction of Australia's rabbit population, but over time its effectiveness waned.
