Description
English: Stemma of Njáls saga, based on samples from chapters 44 (blue lines), 86 (orange lines), and 142 (purple lines). Sigla are those of Einar Ólafur Sveinsson, Studies in the Manuscript Tradition of Njáls saga, Studia Islandica/Íslenzk fræði, 13 (Reykjavík: Leiftur; Copenhagen: Munksgaard, 1953). Forthcoming for Ludger Zeevaert et al., 'A New Stemma of Njáls saga'. This publication will supercede the previously published version of the stemma available at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:The_post-medieval_transmission_of_Nj%C3%A1ls_saga_complete_stemma_figure_1.svg.
