Summary[edit]

Description
English: I really liked the design of this building. I'm starting to think I should have used Provia 400X rather than Velvia 100 as even though the slide did not look too bad when viewed as a slide, it did not seem to scan very well and I think it was badly underexposed. Underexposed Velvia seems to have a purple/blue hue to it. I might go back to using Pro 400H as my mainstay film as it seems to produce more consistent results compared with Slide Films.

As the autoexposure on the scanner did not seem to work well with "scan as a slide" it seemed to work better as "scan as a negative" and then I inverted it in gimp back to a positive image.

I would not normally bother posting such an underexposed image, but this was the only shot I took of this building. I'm starting to wish I had done an xpro on it as underexposed shadow seems to recover with xpro.

This is a grade II listed building (listed on 24 November 1995) designed by Bicknell & Hamilton and built between 1964 & 1965. A good example of Brutalist style in corrugated concrete.
