English: Looking towards Stephenson Street from Navigation Street bridge with the West end screen of the original New Street station on the right. The building with the pointed tower and striped roof is The Exchange on Stephenson Street. The building seen end-on is Queens Hotel. The adverts include "Sunday Chronicle", "Huntley's Preserves", "Thunder Clouds" and "Mitchells Nourishing Stouts". The row of three buildings running from the top left is extant. The middle one is the Midland Hotel, the right one the Midland Bank, now an Apple store. |
