Description
English: Chalmette, La., Aug. 27, 2015 – The new St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District administrative office buliding in Chalmette is one of multiple projects funded by FEMA’s Public Assistance grant program in the 10 years since Hurricane Katrina. The port, a vital part of the local and regional economy, was the hub for St. Bernard Parish recovery and rescue efforts in the days and weeks after Katrina.
