| Description |
English: New Pond? Near Danthorpe, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. After almost three weeks since the torrential storm in which 115mm (~4.5") rain fell in a very short time, the land in the East Riding of Yorkshire still hasn't recovered. There have been a few subsequent wet days, but experts apparently now believe that the rainwater hasn't drained away as the water table has risen substantially after the deluge. Up until the floods, fields like this one would have been very fertile, arable land. |
