Since no pictures were allowed in the museum this was the best I could get as the place was packed with people. To me I was expecting a smaller place but it had quite a lot of space, maybe not for two years and no place to go. The rooms are not furnished and not to much to see but a part of a horrific history.

This is the original 1942 moveable bookcase, which conceals the door to the secret annex.

Mr. Voskuijl, the warehouse manager, constructed the movable bookcase.

It swings out on its hinges and opens like a door.

It is behind this that Anne Frank and others lived to avoid being captured by the Nazi during the Holocaust.

The hiding place is relatively spacious. There is enough room for two families.

The Anne Frank House is a museum made from the house where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis during the Holocaust.

The hiding place is located in an empty section of this building that was owned by Otto Frank's company. While business continued, as usual, in the front part of the building, there were people hiding in the annex out back.
